Today has been by far the busiest day since my surgery. I got up and it took a little over 2 hours for me to get moving and ready because everything takes longer on crutches and without bending your knee. Then I sang for Nancy’s son Jason’s memorial. The service was really beautiful and Fr. Keith offered a great homily. I think it was an important stepping stone for Nancy in her healing and I can definitely see she has come a long way since Jason passed away. After the memorial, Mom and I headed down to Albany for my cousin Tyler’s graduation party. It was really bittersweet because my family hasn’t all been together since my graduation party and it’s going to be a long time until we are all together again since my Uncle Mike, Aunt Kathy and Tyler are moving down to South Carolina a week from tomorrow…kind of crazy. After I got back from his graduation party, Matt and I went out for a while too. I am totally pooped but it’s such an amazing feeling to be tired! It’s been so long since I have been genuinely tired.

Ohhh — and yesterday I got 9 inches cut off of my hair…and bangs. Crazy, I know…but I’m really glad I did. I love it.

Halfway through…I was totally terrified!

Relieved and happy with the finished product…don’t mind the crutches ;)

Many thanks to Meg for coming with me and being my emotional support and documenting my distress in photos. :-D
